Dr Richard - Head Veterinarian

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Head Veterinarian Richard

Richard completed Veterinary Science at University of Queensland, graduating in 1980.

Richard and his family moved to Yeppoon and purchased Yeppoon Vet Surgery (previously on Arthur Street) in March 2000. He built up the business from a one-vet, two-nurse practice, into the well-known and respected, busy clinic it is today. Richard moved the surgery to the larger premises in Industrial Avenue in 2005.

Richard sold Yeppoon Vet Surgery to National Vet Care in August 2015, but remains Head Veterinarian.

In his own time, Richard enjoys watching NRL and working around his property. Richard’s animals include two horses, two cats and a dog.

Dr Fiona - Veterinarian

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Veterinarian Fiona

Fiona studied Veterinary Science at University of Queensland, graduating in 1995. She moved to Yeppoon in 2007 with her family, and has been at Yeppoon Vet Surgery since 2009.

Outside of work, Fiona enjoys horse-riding, and is kept busy with her family and their property. Her menagerie consists of a dog, a cat, horses and chickens.

 

 

 

Dr Cassandra - Veterinarian

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Veterinarian Cassie

Cassie graduated Veterinary Science from James Cook University in 2011. She joined the Yeppoon Vet Surgery team in November 2014, after moving to Yeppoon from Mackay.

Cassie enjoys treating all kinds of animals, and especially likes birds. Outside work, she enjoys reading and gardening.

 

 

 

Jo - Full Time Veterinary Nurse/ Administrative Manager

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Nurse & Admin Manager Jo

Jo moved to Yeppoon in 1992, and completed High School here. She worked for Yeppoon Vet Surgery for about 2 years during 1998-2000. Jo re-joined the Yeppoon Vet team in 2013, after having a career in the automotive industry for 10 years.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys reading and netball, and spending time with family and friends. Jo has 3 birds – a lorikeet, an Alexandrine and an Eclectus.

 

 

 

Emma - Full Time Veterinary Nurse/ Nursing Manager

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Nurse & Nursing Manager Emma

Emma started Nursing in 2010, and has been at Yeppoon Vet Surgery since August 2012. Emma moved to Yeppoon in 2002, and completed High School locally.

Outside of work, Emma spends her time horse-riding with her horse, Leo, and working on her property with her partner.

 

 

 

 

Nicole - Full Time Veterinary Nurse

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Nurse Nicole

Nicole started as a school based trainee veterinary nurse with Yeppoon Vet Surgery in 2011. She completed her traineeship, and therefore Certificate II in Animal Studies in December 2012.

Nicole grew up on her family property in Theodore, but attended school in Rockhampton. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym and being with friends. She has a cat called Ralph out at her family property. She is about to start her study for Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

 

Rikki - Veterinary Nurse

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Nurse Rikki

Rikki started veterinary nursing career in 2012 and joined Yeppoon Vet Surgery mid 2013, completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2015.

Rikki enjoys caring for wildlife. In her own time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her pets consist of a dog, Banjo, and two rescue cats called Tulip and Delilah.

 

 

 

Simone - Casual Veterinary Nurse

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Nurse Simone

Simone joined Yeppoon Vet Surgery in September 2012, after managing one of the local Boarding Kennels. Simone moved to Yeppoon in 2005.

When she’s not at work, Simone likes to take her dogs and kids to the beach, and see family and friends. She has two dogs and two cats.

 

 

 

 

Bridie - School based Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Yeppoon Vet Surgery - Trainee Nurse Bridie

Bridie started with Yeppoon Vet Surgery as a Saturday Junior in 2014. She then signed on as a school based trainee in January 2015. Bridie is currently studying Year 12 in 2016. In her downtime, she enjoys singing, drawing and watersports. She has a Ragdoll cat called Archie.
